I don't exercise on Sunday's and I was glad for the rest. Today I was planning on swimming or biking but I had to lay some sod on the north side of the house. We didn't put sprinklers in over there originally, but we decided to do that and grab the sod from the neighbors (they had some extra) and just finish that last part of the yard. It took us about 2 1/2 - 3 hours.
I decided to just run instead of trying to bike in the dark (safety first!). I decided to try to keep a pace of 5 MPH and it worked out pretty well, I ran for a continuous 20 mins, at about 10 mins I increased the incline and at 15 mins the same. I RAN FOR 20 MINUTES STRAIGHT! That is so cool, I am feeling like this actually works...exercise can improve you, who would have thought. Yeah, so I did a 5 min warm up 20 run and 5 min warm down, I did the stretching before and after to ensure all things were safe and flexible.
I am looking forward to the next run, I think I am going to shoot for a 40 min total run.
I still need shoes, these shoes are not really made for running and I am feeling it.
