Today I was supposed to run 30 mins. I did. I have to take it in stride though, I had to consider anything other than standing running. Running feels really hard.
I had to use the treadmill, I take that back, I didn't want to try to run outside for 30 mins just in case I felt wiped out and got stuck somewhere. I was having a hard time feeling like the treadmill wasn't just a fast walk though so I sped up the treadmill and after .68 miles I was winded, I was kinda hurting. I found out that I need to slow down a little and remember that a lot can happen in 8 weeks, but not overnight. I made 1.38 miles though and I really don't feel wiped out, even though at the time I was questioning my judgement about doing this. My wife is training for a half-marathon and she really is proof that this works, she has done an amazing job and because of her I believe I can do it.
Tomorrow is the 60 min bike ride, the tire is fixed so I am good to go. Until then...
